Welcome to our website and thank you for taking the time to look over this site. We hope that it gives you a flavour of our school and the wide range of experiences we offer our pupils. We aim to keep our website as current as possible in order that the information is up to date and relevant; whether you are new to our establishment or a current parent/carer.
Law Primary School and Nursery aims to create an effective and caring community based on our vision, values and principles of our School Charter. We are committed to developing the potential of all pupils and staff in an atmosphere and ethos of trust, co-operation and mutual respect in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community.
If you would like to make an appointment to visit us or you require further information, please contact our school office, in the first instance, where someone will be happy to help you.
We look forward to making you welcome!
A gentle reminder to parent/ carers of P5 pupils: You, and your child, are invited to attend an information evening on Wednesday 18th April at 6.30pm at Crawforddyke Primary. This is to find out about the planned Lockerbie Manor Residential in October 2019. We will invite some Primary 7 pupils who have already been to Lockerbie to talk about their many experiences and show lots of pictures to help your family come to an informed decision.
A big thank you to our PTA for helping us raise enough to repair the Trim Trail!
We will be welcoming everyone back to school tomorrow and hope that you have all had a pleasant break. Please check out the schoolbag post for letters coming from the PTA regarding up-and-coming events. Details can also be found in the Parents section of the website.
Please note that we do not have a budget to pay for school meals and it is every parent's responsibility (of P4-7 children) to pay for all school meals. We check all money daily against meals ordered and slips are sent home where a debt is due. We understand that sometimes a child may forget their money or you may not have change to give them on that day, however the council does have debt recovery processes should money remain unpaid for a period of time. Please do all that you can to pay off outstanding amounts in a timely fashion. Should you experience difficulty paying, please contact Mrs McNeill for advice.
A set of house keys were found in Murray Road this morning and have been handed in to school. If these could be yours, please contact the school office. Also, please pass this on to your friends and neighbours as someone must be worried about the whereabouts of their keys!
Please note that a new menu will be making its way to you shortly. The first week of this menu is on Monday, 23rd April 2018. Please also note that there is an increase to the charges for P4-7 pupils to £1.65
Law Primary have been awarded Clydesdale Sports Council, Primary School of the Year Award 2018. Check out @Active Schools S-Lan on Twitter to see Mrs McCann and Mrs Inglis receiving the award on our behalf.
Well done to all of the boys and girls who take part in so many of our sports clubs and activities and thank you to the staff and adult volunteers who support them.
Members of the school choir were invited to attend South Lanarkshire's Year of Young People event at the Banqueting Hall, County Buildings, Hamilton. Our girls and boys were treated to a lovely morning of activities to celebrate 2018 being the Year of Young People and in return they sang to the packed hall of primary school children, councilors, SLC Youth Learning staff and Maree Todd, MSP. Click here to see some photographs of the event.
After school clubs: if your child is unable to attend any sessions, please inform their class teacher or school office before 3pm. We are unable to release children from clubs prior to 4pm if we have not had parental/ carer consent. This is to ensure the safety of your children.
